Metrolist report shows Denver home sales jumped 32% in July from 2012. More than 6,104 Denver metro area homes sold in July which was a 32% increase compared to July of 2012. This was also 10% increase compared to June’s 5,566 sold of single-family homes and condos. Typically, June and July are the highest sales volume months for metro Denver’s homes resale market. Inventory of homes for sale also grew 9% from previous month to 10,025 which was the fourth consecutive month of increases in the inventory of homes for sale; however the inventory is still down 7% from the 10,827 homes for sale in July 2012. According the Metrolist, the average days on the market also dropped to 37, down from 43 days on the market in June and down from 65 days in July 2012. The average sale price of Denver metro area homes also dropped slightly to $315,150 which represented a 1% drop from June’s $318,541 average, although still 9% higher than the July 2012 average. 7,406 homes were placed under contract in July, flat from June’s but still up 43% from the 5,236 placed under contract in July 2012.
