Resale prices of Denver homes continues to increase and in May the Denver metro area saw a double digit percentage increase according to a report by CoreLogic. This was the 16th month of consecutive sale price increases year-over year for Denver homes in the metro area. The metropolitan statistical area which includes Denver-Aurora-Broomfield and distress (REO) sale saw a 10.7% increase in May year-over-year and 1.6% increase month-over-month from April. According to the report, home prices nationally grew at a faster rate not seen in seven years and CoreLogic price index jumped 12.2% in May compared to 2012’s May.
