Denver luxury homes sales continues to surge in June

Denver luxury homes sales in June posted another record with 89 homes sold with a price tag of a $1 million or more. This was an increase of 23.6% in sales volume compared to last year and a 44% increase compared to May’s 59 homes sold according to MLS. The total dollar volume was $134,870,927 which is a 25.3% increase year-over year. The average sale price for June came in at $1.515 million, up slightly from May’s $1.6 million. The report also includes condominium sales. The average days on the market to sell Denver luxury homes was 190 days in June, slightly down from May’s 213 days and down year-over-year 3.6% to June’s 2012 of 197 days on the market. Year to date 331 Denver luxury homes have sold in the Denver metro area with a total dollar volume of $499,112,606 which represents a 38.5% increase of homes sold through June of 2012 and a 37.9% increase in dollar volume. Through June, the average days on the market was 195 days which is a 13% decrease compared to June’s 2012 of 224 days on the market.
